In 2002 I started a series of workshops for actors seeking more experience in front of the camera. Using scripts and improvisation techniques, I directed the actors and filmed the process. The result was edited and screened to the actors for them to study.
It proved to be a great success. Actors with little experience in front of the camera found it very useful to be directed for the camera. Meanwhile I had the time to work creatively with actors without the pressure of having to deliver a finished film. I developed and tried out various improvisation techniques and met actors, with whom I worked on other projects.
